This morning after exercising I was wondering what could I have for breakfast that help me recover as soon as possible but still satisfy my craving for sweet, which I don’t usually have. So I came up with this Choco Smoothie recipe!
It’s perfect as a post exercise snack or part of your breakfast because it has the protein of the raw hemp seed, the minerals and electrolytes of the coconut water and the energy of the raw cocoa and almond butter.
If you have gone for the extra mile working out and you feel like you need some more help recovering try adding a teaspoon of maca. It will help you speed up the process.

Protein Choco Smoothie
The perfect and healthiest Protein Choco Smoothie
- 1 cup Almond milk (or other nut non diary milk you prefer)
- 1 cup Coconut water
- 1 Banana
- 1 tablespoon Almond butter
- 1 Date (or two depending on your sweet tooth)
- 1 tablespoon Raw hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon Raw cocoa
- Place everything in the blender and blend until smooth.
- Enjoy immediately!
